Our Mission
The Good Wood Company promotes sexual health awareness and informed condom use to help prevent unplanned pregnancies and protect against HIV and other STIs, particularly in underserved Black communities.
Our Founder
Good Wood was founded in April 2023 by Kimberly N Rushin. She is a native Memphian and graduate of the University of Memphis. With a background of service, Kim had a vision for Good Wood when she discovered, during research, that Memphis ranked #1 in the nation for STDs, according to the Center for Disease Control. Upon further investigation, she discovered that STDs across cities in America were on the rise, particularly cities occupied primarily by African Americans. It was then that she decided to embark on a journey to encourage conversations promoting condom use. The conversations led to the opening of Good Wood Condoms. Kim also developed a line of merchandise with bold, attention grabbing statements bound to spark conversations around sexual health and condom use!
